Shot for profit, that's all, it's no more than that.
To me they're the most majestic of all the big cats.
Beautiful marmalade stripes each one is unique.
Their numbers dwindle whilst the hunters seek.
Used in Chinese medicine most of it superstition.
Still killed for trophies, no need for permission!
Great British India once hunted them for sport.
Slaughtered needlessly with no care or thought.
Hunting dogs, impalement and even baiting.
Knowing the pain that they suffer is heartbreaking.
When will we learn to co exist with Earths wildlife.
Instead of being the source for most of their strife.
