We've been authors for readers and strong leaders for our daughters
We went from powdered wigs, to blue denim trousers.
We've been behind the course of great change, and been behind scrutinising fame.
We won a right to be heard, whilst men stood and jeered.
Through the course of history we've stood firm, and from us men can still learn.
We've been queens and raised great kings, our many achievements the past still sings.
We fought great battles whilst in our bones a free spirt rattles
So put your hands up women, be proud that we're changing the world we live in.
