He was brought up in care Where a head start is rare His self worth was smashed Always did things for cash He was caught up in a lifestyle Making most want to run a mile Just another product of society With a life devoid of priority He was hurt and abused Not knowing love only used He needed a second chance Worthy of a second glance? Protection on the street His own brethren he meets For initiation into their gang He pulled the trigger and BANG! He made a wrong decision Time is now spent in prison
Her boyfriends in prison For making a wrong decision She needs to make a living But for her nobody's giving Her path she has chosen Her conscience is frozen Survival is selling her body Thinking sex is a commodity She's surviving on crack Punters give her a smack Late night turning a trick Just to get her next fix Then she becomes pregnant Because she was negligent? Nah, she was gang raped She can't find an escape It becomes a knock on effect And another life is wrecked.
