Darkness falls over me Moonlight not enough to see I can hear them whispering I can feel them rustling
Shadows drifting in the night Hiding from me, out of sight Waiting for the perfect time To know their leader's frightening sign
Darkness leaves along with night Room bathed in golden sunlight They are here no more Waiting for the rain to pour
They can only come in dark Raindrops are their sacred mark Clouds that shroud them Dark sky that hides them
They come in groups of three or four Never less and never more They cannot be detected or seen They are but shadows of the clean
The shadows want to torture me They like my fear and desperate plea For anyone to hear my cries And save me from their prying eyes
But someone has not abandoned me He doesn't fear them or their need When he comes they run away Afraid of what he'll do or say
The shadows know I'm not alone That's why their numbers haven't grown They know he's here without a ring They know him by his rustling wings
For its an angel on my side The demons cry and run to hide My angel is always watching me He knows my voice and hears my plea
The demons have no power here My guardian angel gives fear reason to fear
