On a dark winters night storm howling around Finding small cracks where the wind creeps and bounds An old lady sits, warm by the fire, a clicking of needles the only sound there. She is making a bear, of silky black wool, each stitch made with love from soft heart of gold

Her name is old granny and she's making a gift For Megan, her grandchild, youngest of three The bears nearly finished just one thing to do. Enclose a white crystal deep in soft fluff of blue With a kiss and a promise, much love and a smile

When the last stitch is done, the bear sleeps sound for a while In a box wrapped in reindeer and silvery stars Under tree of green fir Fairy lights winking and presents galore! Awaiting the children, to open, and explore!

The snow deep and silent this twinkling cold morn One day of the year so special to be born Christmas of course, a magical time When the box is ripped open The bear comes to life Such a big secret that nobody knows Just the bear and the fairy sat high on the bough A happy little girl surrounded by love A bear for a friend It's more than enough! ✨
