A witch I have been this many a long year My secrets held close in my heart so dear My black book of spells, all tattered and torn Kept far away from prying eyes that would scorn
The candles all flickering in firelight so bright All that can be seen in the dark of the night My comforting cloak of deepest coal black Swirls as I chant my words Forwards and back
Spells bring forth magic from young and from old From fiery great mountains And wastes of ice cold New realities bubble up, right into the world And takes a firm hold, as a shift of the air
