Out in the ocean, one day in my boat I sailed that much further than ever before The wind strong and pushy and blew where it will And soon I was lost, and nowhere to be found
T'was such an adventure Mind I did not, being lost on the ocean of deepest dark blue But soon came the night And with it the cold Not so much fun now To home I must go
Wet, dank and drenching the mists trickled down Covering all and sundry in a fine flimsy gown Water all shallow And sand underneath An Island I'd found Where none there should be
I sit by the fire, on soft golden sand Wondering how on earth I found this fair land No map exists of it's murky old shores Maybe I'm dreaming Hope I don't snore!
I wake in my bed All cosy and warm Cat on my feet, wife by my side Rain beats down on windows so cold Thank goodness I'm safe And it's only a dream! ✨
