Outside there are Wars, battles, crying,
But still the thing that hurts you most,
Is the fact that she's in bed dying.
You hold her hand and stare into her eyes,
Emotionally preparing yourself to say your last goodbyes,
She struggles to get just one word out,
You know this was the end for your beloved spouse,
She took her last breaths speaking words of truth,
She spent her last breaths saying 'I love you'
