~Lexie's POV. I looked out to the stage as the crew members started setting up our instruments with Rain and Jacob. I scrolled through my phone and looked at some tweets. "Heads up! We're in Phoenix tonight hanging out on our night off!" I read Ben Bruce of Asking Alexandria's tweet. I smiled big and tucked my phone away in my pocket. This was amazing. I stood behind listening to the sound of the crowds talking amongst themselves waiting for the show to start. I gulped and took a few deep breaths before I started to freak out even more than I was starting to on the inside. I felt a pair of warm arms slither around my waist and a head on my shoulder. "I love you." Tony's voice calmed me and I leaned my head onto his. "I love you too." "You'll do great. I'll be watching you." He smiled. "Now I'm even more nervous!" He chuckled and shook his head. "It'll be fine." I turned to hug him tightly and he kissed me. I spun around to see Taylor and Cass getting their guitars and I walked out to the big stage and stared into the crowd. They cheered and I picked my mic from the stand. "How's everybody doing tonight!" More yelling and cheering and I laughed. "That's great, well we're Obvious Lie." I turned to Taylor who smiled and they started to play. My stomach did a flip but I was ready. * * * * * * * * * * * * * ~Rain's POV. "YOU DID AMAZING BABE." Jaime said taking me into his arms and spinning me around. I laughed and shrugged. "Thanks, you'll do even better of course." "Don't be so modest, mi amor." I smiled big and held his hands and kissed him quick. "Um, Cass and Lexie wanted me to go down to the merch tables with them?" He smiled. "Go ahead, I'm gonna go and warm up with the guys anyway." He turned and waved at me bye before walking back to the guys. Cass walked up to me and pointed at Lexie. I turned and saw her and Tony kissing and laughed. "Ahem!" I coughed and Cass broke out into laughter. "You coming?" Lexie blushed and pushed the hair out of her face looking up at Tony. He waved his hands in our direction and kissed her forehead before she walked over to us. "Thanks guys." She smacked my arm. Cass laughed again and we started for the tables. We were greeted by a few fans on our way. A girl with long brown hair came up to Cass and I and looked ip at me. "You're an amazing girl drummer. I just found out about you guys a month ago. You guys are amazing. You're really inspiring." "Awe," Cass smiled big and hugged the girl and I did the same. "Thank you!" She smiled and chuckled. "You're welcome." Cass and they girl continued talking when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around and saw a familiar face looking at me. I tried squinting through the dim light but it didn't help. "Rain Wolff." He spoke. It hit me, "David..?" The guitar player? From Awkward Silence? "You guys did great." He chuckled. "We need to catch up." He grabbed my arm and led me out to the back of the building. "Uh?" I bit my lip and looked down nervously. What was he doing? "You were amazing." He leaned over me as I was against the wall. "What are you doing?" I smelled the alcohol on his breath and tried pushing him away. "What I came here for." He pushed my shoulders against the wall. "I want you, y'knoe to make up for our loss in this contest." I tried to push him away but he pushed me harder against the wall. "GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME." I yelled struggling to escape his grasp. He leaned in and I turned my head away. "C'mon." A tear slid down my cheek, I closed my eyes and he laughed. "STOP." I yelled. "Hey!" A voice called from down the wall. "Leave that girl alone!" I opened my eyes to see James Cassells standing there. He walked over and David laughed. "Excuse me, what?" James walked up and punched him sending him to the floor. David was weak. "Leave her alone." David struggled to his feet and walked away. "Whatever." "You're- you're James Cassells!" I smiled big and hugged him and he hugged me back. "Thank you." "No big deal. You alright?" I nodded and Cass and Lexie bursted through the door. "There you are!" Lexie sighed in relief. "What happened?" Cass asked Jaime following behind her. "Well David, from Awkward Silence, y'knoe? He-" "He was torturing this girl. She needed help and I saw." James spoke. "So I came and-" "He punched him, he ran away." I laughed. "Its awesome to meet you though, James." I looked up at him. "My pleasure." He smiled. "I've got to go catch up with everyone else." "Thanks man, for helping my girl." Jaime and James shook hands. "No problem." He smiled and walked off. I walked over to Jaime and he took me into his arms. "I'm glad you're okay." I did nothing but buried my head into his chest and held onto him. He stoked my hair and held me close to him. "I love you, Rain." I looked up at him with tears welling up in my eyes and smiled big. "I love you too, Jaime."
