~Lexis POV.
Cass made me take a week of work off, a sick leave. But I didn't see what the big deal was, I was fine. But I guess she just wanted to make sure I didn't add anymore "stress" to my life.
I got out of bed and tied my hair up, then walked quietly down the stairs hoping if someone was still asleep I wouldn't wake them.
I heard the buzz of the TV downstairs, probably Cass.
"Goodmorning." She called out softly. I walked into the living room where she was and she stuffed her mouth with a spoonful of Captain Crunch.
"What a child." I laughed and she smacked me.
"We're out of milk.. Sorry." She laughed.
"Thaaaanks. Any news on the contest yet?"
She shook her head no, her mouth full again.
We entered our band in a contest to do a tour with Pierce The Veil and sleeping with Sirens. We were one of the top bands, So I was hoping we had a good shot.
"Well I'm going to Starbucks, I'll be back in a little bit."
She nodded and turned to the TV and turned it up a bit more.
I dashed upstairs and changed into a pair of shorts a cami and an old school sweater, grabbed my keys and headed to the door.

"I'll have a grande vanilla bean frappe." I ordered and smiled pulling out my money.
I paid and stood back waiting for my order to be ready.
I looked around the shop, it was quite early in the morning. I'm surprised I even woke up this early. Though I did go to sleep pretty early last night.
They called out my name and order so I grabbed my cup and started to head for the door.
My phone buzzed in my pocket and I looked at the cracked screen.
1 New Message from Cass.
I attempted opening it but instead I felt a body crash against me.
I jumped back a little. "Oh my god, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking-.." I looked up to see Jaime Preciado standing right in front of me.
He smiled and laughed. "Shouldn't there be a rule against texting and walking?"
"I think that's driving." I chuckled and smiled.
"You could have gotten yourself killed, ma'am." He joked around.
I laughed nervously and looked up at him.
"Oh, and I'm Jaime." he smiled.
"I knew that," I grinned "But, I'm Lex. Lexis. Lexi. Either one."
I knew Jaime didn't like to go places alone so-
"Hey Jaime, I'm surprised you came in without me." A familiar voice said. Then Mike popped into the door and smiled. "But I guess you made a friend."
I smiled. "Well I guess I'll be on my way."
"It was nice meeting you." Jaime said grinning.
"You too."
I walked out of the door with probably the most idiotic big smile on my face. I just met Jaime and Mike of Pierce The Veil. This was amazing.
