She's Mine, Chp6.

~Lexi POV.
The days passed by, the band practiced harder and harder but we were sounding a lot better.
We had made it to #2 on the charts of the competition for going on tour with Pierce The Veil. We had a lot of new fans too.
#1 was a band called Crooked Spirit and #3 was a band called Awkward Silence.
Voting ended in two days and I was more than anxious. I tried not to think about it so much and just hope for the best.
"How're you doing?" Rain sat on the couch next to me.
"A lot better." I smiled.
I still couldn't get that day out of my mind. The day I met Jaime and Mike. I hoped to see them again, maybe with Tony too?
"That's good." She smiled and stuffed her mouth with the pizza she was holding. "Let's watch Mulan!" she spoke through her food.
I covered her mouth. "Lady like, much?" I walked over to the DVD player anyway and put in Mulan then came and sat back down.
She started to bounce in her seat happily. "What if we actually win this contest?!"
I smiled big, the thought of it just made me so happy. But it suddenly fell. "Crooked Spirit is a really good band though. We'd be so lucky as to beat them."
She frowned and flicked me in the arm. "HEY, DON'T THINK THAT. Think positive." A smile came across her face once again and she stuffed her mouth with another bite of pizza.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "I'm going out." I heard Cass call to us.
"With Jeremyyyyy." I sang, smiling brightly.
She walked into the room with a pretty light purple dress on, her hair curly. She looked stunning.
"Why so dressed up?" Rain spoke with her mouth full.
She laughed. "I don't know, Jeremy told me to wear it." She blushed. "He said it's his favorite one. And that I look even more beautiful than I already am In it."
I smiled softly. "Awe."
She brushed a piece of hair out of her eye and bite her lip. "I'll see you guys later." She skipped slightly to the door and headed out.
I turned to Rain and chuckled.
"They're cute together!" Rain gushed. "I hope they stay forever together."
"I could see that. He treats her right, very good actually." I smiled. "He's nice to have around. I mean, at least he's not a dick like the others."
She frowned. "Hmff. Exactly."
I bounced up and went to get a peace tea from the fridge when my phone buzzed.
I looked past the cracked screen barely and saw a message from Johnny. "Tell Jacob to step off, Cant you defend yourself for once?"
At first my heart dropped and I tossed my phone back on the table. I sat down on the kitchen floor, hugging my knees and leaning against the cabinets. Then for some reason, I laughed. Instead of tears there were smiles. Finally, I'm over Johnny's shit.
"Are you doing alright, Lex?" Rain called out to me.
"Yeah." I chuckled and walked back into the room. "I'm great."
