A poem about elephants in the circus. ___
Bang goes the gun, As my mother drops dead, Blur goes the world, As a dart hits my head
Clank go the chains, Holding me back, Squel goes my voice, As I cry out in the pitch black,
Crack goes the bullhook, As it connects with my skin, Dribble goes the blood, as I cry within,
Rumble goes the truck, As I'm transported again, Groan go the elephants, As they all go lame,
Buzz goes the electric prod, I did my trick wrong, Burn goes my skin, Like fire on your tongue,
Beaten and broken, None of the trainers regret, I cannot escape my torture, Because an elephant never forgets.
