Milly And Peri

I happily walk out of my middle school and head home. Thank god it's a Friday. I'm a few yards away from my house when I see, oh no, a moving van parked next door. No! Ever since I moved to Florida , only 2 people have lived there.
The first was Ms.jones and her son,John. John would always throw mud at my bedroom window and Ms.jones was alway snooping.
The last neighbor was a 21 year old girl named Kora. Kora would always try to give me fashion advice even though she needed the help. She wore tie die shirts with holes in them so I could see the one bra she wore very day and she never washed it!
I slowly walked to my mother who was outside our house smiling widely.
" who are the newbies" I say pointing at the moving van.
" peri, do you remember Milly" she says as she puts an arm around me. That name brings tears to me eyes. Milly and I were BFFs but then I moved. I simply just nod.
" well..." She says pointing to a car pulling up to the curb. I watch as a pair of brown cowgirl boots steps out.
"It can't be" I whisper as I see the face.
"Milly!" I scream as I run up to her and give her a huge hug.
"Don't squish me" she says as she laughs. I reluctantly let go. I can't believe it!
"Are you visiting" I ask her. She shakes her head no then says
"I'm moving next door" she says nodding to the big moving van. I just could not keep my cool. I squeal like a 5 year old a jump up and down. I was so happy!

Don't judge me. I totally missed Peri. It was just that I made some good friends at my old school and I missed them so much. Especially Chloe. We did everything together. I hear a woof from in the car.
"You have a dog?" Asks Peri as she jumps up and down some more.
"Here boy" I say as I inch closer to the car. Chip jumps out and jumps on me until I lose my balance.
"So cute" exclaims Peri as she pets Chip.
" we should go, mom. I'm really tired" I say to my mom as I clip on Chip's collar. My mom's talking to Peri's mom. She nods as she waves to Peri's mom. Peri has gotten more chirpy over the years.
