"Wake up, Joey!" Lauren couldn't wait to get on stage, but of course, Joey had to ruin it all. Joey opened his mouth, and Lauren hoped he would talk, but he yawned, and turned on his side. "Joey! We are on in thirty minutes!" Joey sat up on the bed. "Ok, Laur. Just let me get ready." Joey got up off the bed, and Lauren took a seat on the couch beside his bed. "Have I ever been late?" Joey asked, pulling on a dark green v-neck. "Well, no, but I don't want this to be a day of firsts." Lauren was restless, bouncing on the couch, waiting for Joey to get dressed. "I am almost ready," Joey was combing his hair. "There. Lauren, we can go." Lauren let out a sigh of relief, and jumped up. Joey took her hand, and they walked out of the trailer. Joe was standing, writing a letter to one of his fans. "Joe? How much time 'till we go on?" Joe looked at his watch. "About, I don't know, twenty-five minutes?" Joey smiled with his crooked jaw and walked away. Lauren trailed behind him, their hands still entwined. They loved each other, they didn't really care if their fans cared. They wouldn't even care if a fan told them that Lauren was too short for Joey, and they werent a good couple. Today, Lauren didn't feel all the way good, but she thought it was nerves, and let it pass. Joey saw her worried, thinking expression, and his grip grew tighter. They walked up the marble steps of the theatre that they were performing at, and before they got through the door, Joey took Lauren's other hand, and they stood there for a few minutes. "Laur, well be fine." "I know. I'm just... Worried, or nervous, or sick, or something." They walked through the double doors, hand in hand, and they were overwhelmed. All of the others were there. Lauren burst in to tears.
