New Leaf (Dizzy Water)

Wrapped up in string goes the candlelit dinner, throw it in the fridge for another day.
You said you'd be home by 6, its 9:30, you threw your promises away.
I tried to ring you all night,
it just went straight to voice mail
My patience fell stale.
I heard you comin through the door in pain
Dolled up to the forehead, what a shame.
I never thought I'd see you faulter,
Now your brain is swimming in dizzy water.

You're so dynamic, skitzophrenic sometimes
A passenger on a train off the lines
Always asking for money and spending it on snow
So you can throw it about, pretend that its Christmas , you know
that you're twenty seven years of wasted age.
You can't turn a new leaf when there ain't a free page
So just drown your mind in dizzy water again.
I'll pour a glass myself and join in.

Your pigtails are soaked in the ambience of youth,
And your tights are torn up, its all physical proof.
I can't keep you bound to this heart anymore
If you're continuing to play the part of the whore.
You're another loose cannon, falling off the rails,
Consequences unknown will be entailed
If I walk out the door for five minutes, then come back
You'll be doing coke or smoking crack.
