Chapter 7
Later on at 4:00 in the afternoon I went to see dad. Mum wasn't there though. I'd always been curious about dad, if you want someone to be suspicious about its dad. He's always up to no good. But my mom fell in love with him because she thought mischievous was cute. I don't think so. I wanted to know what he was up to so bad this time. So while grandma and dad was drinking coffee and chattering away, I decided to go upstairs and check out the guest bedroom, where dad slept. Nothing. Maybe he wasn't up to anything. Maybe he learnt his lesson. Grandma kept lots of jewellery in her room. She said it was going to be mine when she died. It was in her will. I went into her bedroom to have a look at all of them. I admire that she collects them. When I am elderly I will collect them as well. But then I let out a scream. What I saw horrified me. Grandma came rushing up, meanwhile dad murmured to himself while reading the newspaper "Grandma will sort her out." Anyways what I saw was my gem made into a necklace for grandma. "What did you scream like that for?" Grandma asked. It was obvious dad slipped the gem into his pocket and smashed it on the floor. Then he drilled holes in all the pieces and made them into a necklace. "Look!" Was all I could answer with. "What?" Grandma said confused. I pointed to the necklace."What about it? It's not flying Is it? No it's not!" I gazed at the broken gem "beads" and said "That was my gem!" Grandma looked more closely. "Quickly put it on!" She panicked. It was to late. I'd turned into stone.
