A little mouse creeps along. It quietly sneaks into the cubbard. Inside's hidden cheese a mouse's favorite snack. All too good to resist.
Up went the mouse to the top shelf in the cubbard. His prised treat was a sittin waiting. His little teeth nibbled. His whiskers twitched as the mouse ate his cheese.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Went the pounding of someones feet. The little mouse jumped and scurried away to avoid the humans' wrath.
Sadly, the man was a little too quick. With a broom in his hand, he swat at the mouse. Quick and daring the little mouse was. He jumped and dodged away from that terrored broom.
Through the house he was chased. In the kitchen,dinning room, and living room. The children screamed. The wife fainted at the sight of this cute little creature.
Nimble and quick he ran straight to his little mouse hole. The man chased him through and through all the way to the end. He didn't give up until he slapped his weapon flat up against the door of the mouse's home.
Safe inside the little mouse sat away from the vicious family. With a smile on his face the mouse was proud of his nearly impossible task. But never again will the little mouse dare to venture out into the dangerous world of the house seated before him.
