I open my eyes and all I see is green. "Where am I?" I thought. My head hurt and my whole body ached. I placed my hand on my temple and could feel dried blood. What ever I hit my head on last night, I hit it hard.
"Lois! Over here! Now you go to the left off the path and I'll go to the right. If Ally's anywhere in the woods, she won't be on the path." Edward said.
"All no!" I thought. I stood up trying to ignore the pain of all my sore bones. "Where can I hide? Either Lois or Edward will be here any minute and there sure to catch me." I thought. My heart was racing and I couldn't think straight. Then it happened. In front of me a squirl ran up a tree. I didn't have much time, so I followed the squirl. I put my hand on one of the lower branches and pulled myself up. The squirl made this look easy.
I made it to the top of the tree as Lois came into sight. Now Lois was not your best search and rescue cop. He stuck his chin up and looked all around.
"Ally! Come out come out where ever you are." Lois said.
"I'm not an idiot Lois." I thought. Suddenly, Lois got up and walled away. Again, not the smartest cop. I was going have to stay up in the tree for a few hours though until I knew that the cops were completely gone.
The view from the top of the tree was amazing! I couldn't believe it! I reached my hand over to move to another, more steady branch when I touched something cold. Not just anything, but a glass jar. I opened it up, and inside was a letter. The bottle looked as if it had been there for a while, for the cap was hard to get off. It read
"To whom ever is reading this, you have found my hidden bottle message. There is a special girl out there who I don't think notices me. We talk, everyday actually and were good friends, but I want to be more than that. Her name is Ally Boilston, the sweetest, nicest girl I've ever met. If your reading this Ally, I hope your not affended."
"-Love Chris-"
Oh my gosh! I forgot about these. Last summer, Chris, Molly, and I would come out into the woods and hide special messages. The goal was to find someone else's bottle message, read it, and then come back to our meeting point. Each of us had a different container so we couldn't run off with our own. It wasn't just any old message we wrote though. There was a theme each time. This time around was an embaressing secret. I was able to find Molly's pretty quick (considering she wanted me to know it over Chris) and Chris found mine after a while. Poor Molly never found Chris's though. He had said that he hid it in a spot we'd never find and if we did, we'd never be able to get to it. "In your face Chris!" I thought.
I hadn't seen Chris in a while though. Ever since that last game of Hidden Bottle Message he seemed to disappear out of my life. Everytime I saw him and would walk over to talk to him, he'd run. I guess it kind of makes sense now. He probably thought I'd gone back into the woods and read his message. I had never thought of Chris in that way, until now. I'm probably just going insane with everything thats happened to me, but right now I needed to find Chris. Without getting caught of coarse.
I swung my leg over the side ready to jump, when I saw something moving in the bushes. It wasn't just a small jolt, but as if something big was hidding there. Then it came out of the bushes. This was no animal, but a person. It was Chris.
