Chris scooped me up and brought me upstairs to the main part of the house.
"This is the kitchen." he said. "You probably guessed that since it's the only room with a fridge and stove."
He placed me down and grabbed my hand.
"Come on. I'll show you the living room." Chris said as if reading my mind that I was bored with the kitchen.
We stepped down into the spacious room.
"Whoa!" I said. "This room is huge! Are those fish over there?"
"Yeah." Chris said. "The gold one in the corner is Goldy, the clown fish in reef is is George, and the yellow and white stripped one in front of you is Susan."
"There cute." I said. "Why don't you show me the rest of the house."
Chris showed me the rest of the house of the house and then brought me upstairs.
"Close your eyes." he said.
"Is this like your signature move?" I said.
"Just trust me." Chris said as he put his hands over my eyes.
He walked me into his room and I was curious of what he had in store for me.
"Okay. Open your eyes." he said.
I opened my eyes to find his room divided in half. On one side stood his bed, dressor, and closet. The other side had a spare bed they brought in for me, a dressor, and a mirror.
"What do you think?" he said.
"I can't believe you did this all for me!" I said. "You are truely my hero!"
"I'm home!" said a voice from downstairs.
"That's my dad." Chris said. "Why don't I introduce you to him."
Chris brought me back downstairs and over to where his dad stood.
"Dad, this is Ally." Chris said.
"Hi Ally. Nice to meet you. Chris's mother said you'd be staying with us." he said.
Chris's mother walked into the room.
"Look what I found on a street post downtown." she said.
It read:
"On The Loose" "Fourteen year old Ally Boilston has escapped from jail. Keep on high alert. If found call the number below."
"Reward: $1,000" "Number: 738-839-1083"
"All no!" I said. "They've realized I've escapped. I guess you guys don't want me staying with you anymore."
"Your staying Ally!" Chris's mother said sternly. "Now why don't the two of you go get washed up for dinner."
