I finished my run. It was noon and I was now beyond tired and hungry.

"Did you have fun?" Chris said walking up to me.

Fun? What was he thinking? He left me to ride the stupid tredmile while he got to go off and do all these cool tricks in the corner. I probably look like an out of shape idiot to him now since I'm sweating like a pig and he's barely broken a sweat. Talking to Chris was the last thing I wanted to do right now. I grabbed a water from the pedistal next to me and ran upstairs. Chris's parents were in the kitchen.

"Did you have fun Ally?" his dad said.

I just kept on walking past him all the way to the stairs and up them. I didn't care that I had been rude. What I needed was to get away from everyone.

I opened the door to my room and flopped down on my bed crying. Not my smartest move ever considering Chris was following me and this was his room, not mine.

"Ally! Whats wrong?" he said.

"I don't want to talk about it." I said mumbling since my head was in my pillow muffling the sound.

"No Ally!" Chris said in a stern voice. "I need to know what your problem was downstairs. I can't solve anything until you tell me whats wrong."

"Do you want to know what my problem is?" I said now sitting up and screaming. "I spent my whole time down there watching you doing flips and jumps and all that cool stuff while I was told to run on the tredmile!" I was really crying now. "You said I'd be learning skills to strenthen and control my powers, not running!"

"Ally, you don't get it." Chris said calmly.

"No you don't get it!" I said and stormed out of the room.

"Come back Ally!" Chris said.

Why should I head back? I've been treated with no respect! I might as well just turn myself into the police I'd be better off in jail anyways. Silly Chris thought I'd turn around just for him. He's so stupid.

I was back in the kitchen now and heading twords the door.

"Hi Ally." Chris mom said.

I opened the door, stepped out, and then slammed it behind me.

"Or bye." she said worrried.

Just then Chris came running down the stairs.

"Where'd she go?" he said.

"To the woods." his mother replied. "You have to follow her Chris. Bring her back to the house."

I was outside now and running. These woods were unfamiliar to me so it would be a challenge navigating myself around. The skies were dark and rain drops were starting to spit from the sky. Quickly they came down. More and more with each passing moment. I slowed down to a walk for there was no point in running anymore. No one was following me. No one cared. I sat down on a nearby rock and put my head in my lap. Tears strolled down my cheeks as rain drops rained on me. Then there was a hand aroun my back.

"What the heck are you doing here?" I said.

"I'm here to bring you back home." Chris said.

"And why should I come back? You guys obviously don't care about me." I said.

"Let me explain." Chris said. "We do in every way care about you Ally. Other wise we wouldn't have invited you to stay with us. As for training, you were trying to strenthen you before you started your real training. I had to run for a whole month so I could start to do what I'm doing now. My dad was going to have you do the same, but since you made such a fuss, he's going to start you with ttaining tomorrow."

"Seriously?" I said.

"Yes!" Chris replied.

I leaned in for a hug, but got something better. Chris saw me lean in and took advantage of his window of oportunity. He grabbed me and kissed me right on the lips. The momet was perfect. Between the rain and just being with Chris, I was in paradise. I am so happy I didn't make it far with my run away. I couldn't wait to return home!
