We were now out in the middle of the ocean safely in our boat. I sat comfortably next to Gavin lounging in a beach chair on the upper deck.
"Would you two like some lemonade?" Susan asked.
"As long as I get a green bendy straw in my cup." said Gavin laughing.
"Whatever you want you want honey." replied Susan.
"Hey Callie look. It's the light house I was talking about."
"Wow!" I said. It was striped red and white with a huge wrap around balcony at the top near the light. The shore around the light house was rocky but near the door was a luxurious flower bed. "It's amazing!"
"I knew you'd like it Callie! I just wish I could take you up onto the island but it's too dangerous." said Gavin.
"It's okay." I replied kissing him. "I have all I could ever want here."
"Hey kids. Were going to go further out into the ocean." said Joe. "Hang on because I'm kicking into high gear."
"Okay Dad." replied Gavin.
Suddenly we went sliding back into the railing of the deck.
"Haha you okay?" asked Gavin.
"I'm always okay when I'm with you." I said.
"That's good. How about I show you around the boat while my mom sets up the picnic lunch."
"Perfect!" I replied. Gavin grabbed me by the hand and helped me up. We walked across the deck and into an enclosed room.
"This is where my Dad controls and drives the boat." said Gavin. "Hi Dad!"
"Hi Gavin. Hi Callie."
"What's that door in the corner lead to?" I asked.
"Oh that's the bathroom. It's basically a portapotty. Now I'll take you downstairs. We have two rooms which are both bedrooms and a small kitchen. I'll show you the kitchen first." he said.
We made it to the bottom of the staircase and took a left. What I saw was basically a giant pantry stocked full on nonparishable food items.
"We have frozen foods and other foods that would if we left them down here upstairs in the cooler." Gavin said as if reading my mind. "Now for the bedrooms."
We walked back down the hallway past the stairs and into the first bedroom.
"This is my parents room." said Gavin. "We have it for if we ever need to sleep on the boat."
"What I saw before me was a queen size bed bolted to the wall with two night stands bolted next to it on either side. By the door on either wall were two small closets with just enough room for a couple outfits.
"It's small. I know." said Gavin.
"I think it's cute." I said.
"I'll show you our room now." he said grabbing my hand taking me next door."
Our room was identical to the room next door. I plopped down on the bed laying on my back and Gavin did the same thing next to me.
"Your boat is beautiful!" I said turning to face him.
"It's actual my parents boat but thank you Callie." he said turning to face me as well.
I put my hands around his head and kissed him.
"I love you." I said as Gavin kissed me.
"I love you too Callie." he said.
"Lunch is ready! Ohh am I interupting?" asked Susan.
"No. Not at all." I said as I grabbed Gavin's hand and led him upstairs.
Laying on the deck was a red and white checkored blanket with plates, silver wear and glasses laided out. In the center was sandwhiches, salads, potatoe chips, fruit, and a pitcher of lemonade.
"Wow! You guys go all out!" I said.
"And we also have cookies for dessert." replies Susan.
"Have a seat Callie." said Gavin.
"The anchors in place Susan!" screamed Joe.
"Okay honey!" she replied. "Come have some lunch!
We sat down on the blanket and enjoyed the delicious meal prepaired. Gavin and I took turns feeding each others grapes from the fruit bowl. We stuffed ourselves with food until we all thought our belt buckles would burst.
"That was delicious. Thank you!" I said.
"Oh your welcome Callie!" replied Susan. "Why don't you two go blow up the tube and you guys can go tubing."
"Okay!" we replies in unison.
An hour later we had the tube blown up and we were attatching it to a rope on the end of the boat.
"Let me help you put your life jacket on Callie." said Gavin.
I lifted up my arms and had Gavin buckle all the buckles.
"You ready?" asked Gavin.
"Yes."
"Now on the count of three were going to jump off the back end of the boat onto the tube."
"We're going to do what?"
"Just trust me Callie. One... Two... Three... Jump!"
I grabbed Gavin's hand and we jumped off the side. In no time we landed on the tube in the center with a thump.
"You okay?" Gavin asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I said.
"We're all set Mom!" screamed Gavin.
Suddenly we were moving.
"Ahhhhh!" I screamed.
"It's okay. I've got you." said Gavin grabbing my hand.
We sat on that tube for hours being pulled around by the boat. With the cool water splashing up on us and Gavin holding my hand it was perfect. We climbed back on the boat and wrapped up together in a towel.
"Did you have fun Callie?" asked Gavin.
"Yeah! I've never been tubing before so it was fun." I said. "Whoa! Look at that beautiful sunset!"
"It is quite beautiful isn't it." said Gavin kissing me as we sailed off into the sunset.
The sun went down and the stars came out. We sat on the deck pointing out all the constalations we knew.
"Hey Mom." said Gavin. "We've been riding around for quite a while now. Are we anywhere near home?"
"I don't know Gavin. I think were lost!"
