"What do you mean were lost?!?"
"Gavin honey. Calm down." said Susan. "While you and Callie were tubing your father got us caught in a current heading north. We don't know how far up it brought us or even where land is because it's too dark to tell. Your father's going to anchor the boat to the bottom of the ocean and we're going to call it a day. Tomorrow we will continue our journey home."
"How do you expect me to calm down when we're lost in the middle of the ocean?!?"
"Gavin. Could you calm down for me please." I said as I walked closer to him and placed my hands in his.
"But Callie. I want to survive this. Grow up and have kids with you."
"And you will survive this." I said kissing him. "Now come on. Lets go to bed."
Five minutes later I was laying next to Gavin in our bed.
"I'm sorry our vacation hasn't gotten off to a good start." said Gavin.
"Don't say that. I'm here with you and we had a great day. Didn't we?"
"Yeah I guess. But what if we never make it back."
"Don't say that!" I said. "Your parents are going to find our way back. I'm certain of it!"
"Your so sweet Callie." Gavin said pulling me closer. "Now lets get some sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow!"
