My jaw dropped. "Isn't Nova Scotia a huge island off the coast of Canada?" I asked.

"I'm afraid so Callie." replied Susan.

"Are we going to be able to make it back okay?" asked Gavin wrapping his arm around my back pulling me in closer.

"I hope so Gavin." said Susan. "Now I need you two to stay here while I go get some food and bottled water. I'll be back soon."

"Okay." we replied.

Twenty minutes later we were back on our boat. Our goal was to get off the island as soon as possible since none of us had passports on us.

"We should be back into Maine sometime this evening." said Joe.

"Thats good." I replied. It was ten AM so I was hoping we'd get back for six tonight.

"Why don't you two go downstairs and play a board game. It will help pass the time." said Susan.

We walked into our bedroom and Gavin pulled out three board games from under the bed, "Monopoly", "Sorry", and "Life".

"We also have a deck of cards." said Gavin.

"Ohh cards!" I screamed grabbing the box and taking the cards out. I placed them in my hand and threw them all over the room. "Fifty Two Pick Up!" I screamed.

"How about Callie's going to clean up the mess!" replied Gavin.

We sat in the room laughing and giggling while picking up the cards until we were called up for lunch. We walked back upstairs and saw the picnic blanket set up again.

"What did you buy at the store mom?" asked Gavin.

"Some white bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a case of water bottles. Your lucky your father keeps some Canadian money stored on the boat Gavin. Otherwise we'd have nothing to eat." replied Susan.

I sat down on the blanket eating my peanut butter sandwich. I was only half way through when I felt a drop of water land on my head.

"Your not funny Gavin pouring water on my head!"

"What do you mean Callie?" asked Gavin.

"I felt a drop of water on my head."

"I just felt one on my arm." said Gavin. "I think it's raining."

Suddenly the rain started to pick up.

"Callie. Gavin. Go downstairs and bring the food with you. Joe and I are going to anchor the boat until the rain stops."

"So your saying that we're not going to get back into Maine until tomorrow?" asked Gavin.

"Afraid so." replied Susan.

Gavin grabbed my hand and the cooler and we ran downstairs.

"We'll get home soon Gavin. I'm sure of it!"

(I know it sounds depressing but it's going to cheer up real soon. Sorry I haven't posted in a while either!)
