I was eating dinner with my family and my dog Ruber. He was shaggy And brown. Plus, like dogs he loves Bacon. I was rubbing his fur under the table when my mom asked me a question.
"So sweetie are you going to start working on my quest?"She asked me. I raised an eyebrow.
"Huh? What Quest?"I ask confused.She sighed at me.
"To Try and go find Mr.Vernon?"She asked me.I smiled as I nodded my head.
"I love Quests!"I say while handing Ruber some of my chicken.
"Cathy, what are you doing?"My brother Evan asked me.I got back to reality.
"Huh?Oh, Nothing.."I say.unsurely.Evan looked at me funny then looked back at mom.
"Anyway mom why does Cathy have to do the quest? Why can't I do it?"14 year old Evan says.
"Do you like quests?"She asked him while putting her fork into her peas.
"Kinda...well no"I smile.I was only 11 and I got to go on quests like this.
"Also, Emily Jay's son, Denner is missing too,So you might look for him on the way too."I flash my dad a smile then one at my mom.
"Do you really like detective work Cath?"My little brother manny asked.I looked at him, rubbed Rubers fur and nodded my head.
...
"Ruber this is only my second quest...am I up for it?"Ruber licks my hand,I smile as I continue to rub his fur.
"Hey boy,why don't you come with me?"I say.That got me grinning.
Rubers little eyes lit up.I guess that's a yes.I Hug him tightly.Then lay back down in my bed and got In my covers.I rub Rubers fur as he jumped on my bed and layed down in his usual spot.
"Goodnight,my little shagdog"I say while turning off my light.
