Chapter 2
Cathy
I couldn't sleep that night.Emily Jay was my moms best friend and I ended up becoming friends with her only son,Denner.But once mom told me the news.I could tell she was hurt in the inside.
I had a nightmare that those two were never found quick enough so they just died.I would've cried my eyes out.

When I woke up Sunday, Ruber wasn't on the bed anymore.I searched around my room looking for him.WhenI searched around the house I couldn't find him there either.My mom walked out her room in her robe,her hair a mess and yawning.
"Mom,have you seen Ruber?"I ask her as she fixes her hair.She shakes her head no.
"Sweets,I know that dog meant a lot to you but maybe he ran away for a reason."She says to me.I hug her tightly as tears stream out my eyes.
Evan
I heard a lot of noise outside so I hooked up my phone and opened my door.I saw Cathy crying and hugging a messy mom.
"Guys?whats all the racket?"I ask them.Cathy looks up,tears still filling her eyes..
Then Manny walked out holding his stuffed animal.Cathy hugged mom again,crying even harder and the look of a dog stuffed animal.I patted her back.
"Ruber is what's wrong...." Mom says.I give her a confused look.Just then our neighbor Lucy walked in..
"Hello guys.. I saw your dog running Down the sidewalk and I got it for you."She said to us.Cathy ran to hug Ruber.

When I heard Lucy said she found our dog I was so happy.I ran and gave Ruber a hug and said to him:
"Let's go solve a mystery" he licks my hand and almost looks as if he nodded.Then I hugged Ruber again.
