Solid 3 - 4 ft easterly swell this morning on the gold coast (up to double over head faces), clean with ultra light winds tending offshore - on the North end anyway. Rooster tails all up the beach.
Had some solid waves and some pretty good beatings including a double wave hold down from a clean up set that broke on my head. Not pleasant, but providing you survive, worth it. I'm thankful for the half breath I managed before the second set hit me.
... Twas not a great day for swimmers.
Weather was rainy and overcast but water was warm.
