This is me and Elise (eliseeegurl) working on a little story! This is just a quick first chapter and if you have any advice or comments please feal free!
------------------------------------
This is my third time moving to another country. I have been moving to new places ever since I was 6-years-old. Usually everywhere I went was dull and boring, but this time I'm moving to Paris, France. The city of romance!
"Dad I don't think your allowed to smoke on the plane," I say, in a fake cough. He ignores me, and stares out the window.
The flight attendent comes over and offers us some snacks. I refuse and look at my father who is still staring out the window covering his cigarette.
"Dad, do you want anything," I ask hoping the flight attendant wouldn't notice the smoke coming from his hands.
"No Madeline, I'm just fine. Thank you," he said flashing a smile towards the flight attendent.
Suddenly, the plane begins to shake a bit. I'm being bounced back and forth and up and down in my seat.
"It's just turbulence," says my dad.
While the bouncing did frighten me, it didn't scare me as much as when my father's jacket started to catch fire. When the plane bumped, pieces of his cigarette must've flown onto his fabric coat, making it catch fire. I had to let out a screech, and my father quickly patted down his jacket. Luckily, the small flame went out in an instant, but the smoke from the flame and cigarette puffed around our seats.
The other passengers were startled and looked all around to see where the smoke was coming from. I snatched the cigarette from my father's hand and stomped it on the floor to put it out. I looked up and saw everyone staring at me. Including the flight attendent. I immediently step on the cigarette and pat out the orange coal.
"Is there something wrong here miss?" asks the flight attendent. Her cold blue eyes stare into mine sending a chill down my spine.
"No everything is just fine thank you." I say clentching the scortching hot coals in my hand.
She gave me a snotty I'm-watching-you kind of look and walked away.
"This is going to be a long ride," I thought giving my dad a dirty look.
