Chapter 5
The next morning I wake up and go to the lake. I promised myself I wouldn't go there anymore, but theres no other place to take a shower around here, and not showering is not an option.
I look around to make sure nobody is watching and I strip off my dress. Not the same one as yesterday, but blue with a little bow rapped around the waist, it was my moms. The water is cold so it takes me a minute to get used to it, but after that it was ok. I began to rub soap into my hair, the sweet smell becomes sickning g to my nose after a while and I rinsed it off in the water.
When I'm finished I climb the rocks tothe top of the hill, I jump off and land hands first then head in the water, a dive I beleive the Royals call it. This was the first time I've done such a stunt, but it seemed almost natural for me considering I've been watching Toby do it.
I climb the rocks and prepare for my next dive, the wind feels strange against my bare body and when I hit the water it stings a little, but something makes me want to do it again, so I do.
I reach my hands above my head in an upsidedown V possition and begin to lean forward, but right as I'm about jump off a warm hand grabs my waist and I turn around startled, and there stand Toby. My reaction is diving off the rock as fast as I can. Once I hit tbe water I begin to paddle toward where my towel and dress are on the rock and dry off my hair and body. Quickly I throw on my blue dress and start to run towards the woods, but then I hear the voice again.
"Hey!" says Toby catching up behind me. I begin to slow down and listen to him. "Why are you always the one running away from me?" He catches up and puts his arm around my shoulder, it hurts more then it feels good though.
"Why where you watching me?" I say and turn around to face him
"I was coming down here to do what I usually do every day." he says smiling "I thought you of all people would be the one to know what my daily routine is."
But before I could throw out a reply, I notice something in the bushes, watching me, watching us.
