A gently dog wonders Around the streets at night His friend the cat ponders Around the pond with fright
The dog crosses the road To find his friend the toad The toad says "hello dog!" The dog says "hello frog!" And then the frog was gone
The cat crosses the pond Quietly and quick To get across And talk to her friend Rick "hello!" said cat "hello!" said rick the rat And then rick was gone
Cat and dog met up one day Across the pond and behind the street They both said "Hey!" They when across the street To go and play And that was the story Of cat and dogs day!
