The knife lay flat On my desk Right before me My choosing of when
The knife that Holds all my pain Releases it from me For one small moment, again and again
The knife has a cutting edge Supposed to be for kitchen things But I see it as a decision of my own Life or death it seems
It's sharp edge So delicate and sleek Urging me To not be so meek
"Give it a try" The Devil pleads "It's cutting edge, Will inspire you deeply"
The cutting edge Oh so tempting But I decide not today I've yet to run on empty
