We all got accents All a lil' different Now can't you see This is wasted time you've spent
That accent all y'all got Is the same ole thing We're bilingual Not to mention, our different spellings
Y'all spell favorite With an extra 'U' Now who'd do that? Certainly not Americans, we got a clue
Quick and easy And already thought out That's how we are That's what it's about
We got fireflies And marshmallow fluff Simple, cute Enjoyable small stuff
Not all of us are J.K. Rowlings, But we've got Anne Rice. We don't always get it right And we don't like it cold as ice
Takin' what's givin' to us And goin' with the flow That's how it is here Let's put on a show
But wait, we've already got a few 'New York, New York' on Broadway And 'The Grand Ole Oprey' in Nashville Might as well have another anyway
We got lots of music too From country to rap Although, I'm sure we'll all agree That rap is crap
