A tear-soaked face And blood-shot eyes That's what you've uncovered Not at all a disguise
I am trying Oh so hard But that tone in your voice Tells me your the glass shard
The one that plunges my heart Hurts me all the time All I've got to say Ain't worth a dime
I'm not doing so well At getting used to things But I don't need all the pressure You're putting on me
I'm at my breaking point Is that what you wanted Cause your daughter is All teary-eyed and feeling faulted
I don't mean to cause trouble I don't mean to hurt anyone But bit-by-bit I'm closing in on being a no-one
A tear-soaked face And blood-shot eyes Like so many others, and yourself This is what your mask disguises
But that tear-soaked face Is your "dear old daughter" Although this one feels like You ought to be slaughtered
I don't mean harm Or pain of any kind And I didn't want To end up with a cry
But you pushed me Off the ledge Right as I came down You laughed once again
So now here I am Unwanting of you Writing this poem With tear-soaked thoughts of you
