I'm packing for a trip 2 weeks long To a small town No one knows at all

I let my cat in As I arrive home Start to work on my suitcase And he walks in alone

I take a minute To give him some care But then he meows Which is very rare

He lays flat in my suitcase Meowing at me Telling me that I just can't leave

I almost cried, Also very rare, And he sat in my lap Giving me a scare

I love him so much He was the only one there For all the tears, pain, and Happy celebrations oh so fair

I hate to leave him Although I must I promise to give him a hug before I leave And please, not to think of me as unjust.
