I was brought home in a small card box, I got kisses, cuddles and played with a lot, I thought they loved me - apparently not,
As I grew bigger, they became mean, Until one day, they seemed very keen,
I was took for a long hike Out in the woods - my owner on their bike,
I still had my lead tied around my neck, Why can't they let me run, oh heck?!
Then, my owner stopped - they came to a halt, They smacked me, hurt me, this was all my fault,
I got tied to a tree and left to die, Abandoned I've been, I started to cry,
I once was a loved pup, Who loved to play, Then, I grew up, And now I'm abandoned this way. **
A dog is for life, Not just for Christmas
