A tear tricked down my cheek as I watched my big sister being drove away with my mum in the ambulance. My dad, Freddie, ha gone off on a business trip to Malian, he'll be in for a big shock when he returns!
"Amber, are you ok?" I asked her, it was just me an her in the apartment. I sat down next to her an started rubbing her back; she was still curled up in a ball, but not crying as much.
She sniffled and then replied,"No." that simple word crushed my heart, I hated seeing my sister cry and it's not very often I do see her cry.
She sat up and wiped her eyes,"I'm broke without her, what am I going to do Ambs?" she stared crying again, but soon stopped and wiped her nose on her cashmere sweater sleeve.
"Hey, I could stay here for the week or so if that would make you feel?" I hoped it would so i could stay with my sister who knew 'everything' about me,
"Yeah, I'd love that! Can we ask mum to see if you could live with me? You could be like my new Alicia!" she smiled, I was happy again to see her smile at such a disappointing time.
"No matter what mum says, I'll stay with you, forever." I said, we were hugging now grinning behind each others back, my head resting on her shoulder and gets resting on mine.
"Were should I sleep tonight?" I asked breaking the everlasting hug,
"You can sleep on my sofa if you want? I'll get you a blanket and pillows, you'll be fine!?" she said getting up and walking to the closet pulling out a blanket and pillows and a sleeping bag, "You can sleep in this too, if you get to cold that is." she continued, chucking the bag at me as well as the pillow and blanket.
It was going to be a really fun night! As we got into our pjs and settled in my 'bed.'
