I was in for it know....
"Hey dad," I said flipping up the phone to, to answer the call,"Gee, I've missed you!" lightening the mood a bit, I used the word 'Gee' which I knew for a fact that my dad fell for that word,
"Hey Mil, why did I just have a letter from your school to say your not there?" he replied, stinging the bright mood I created. dang it!
"Haah! April fools! They gotcha dad!" Freddie was wording something to me 'not maple cools' he was saying. Then I understood, 'not April fools'
"They might have prank called you for a practise for a few weeks time?" I considered, while my dad was 'umming and ahhhing' at I really don't know what!
"And why did I just get a letter through the door to say,'congratulations! Your the worlds 50,000th grandpa!' of the US government? What is going on, Milly tell me the truth?!?" he asked with anger rising in the tone of his voice.
So I told him everything, from the very beginning.
From starting that school, to ditching it, from the labour ward, to the split second of what I'm doing right now. The phone line went dead.
"You ok? Was it that bad?" Freddie asked, reassuringly I nodded, confirming that I honestly was fine and that it sort of was pretty bad!
He stroked the side of my hand, trying to calm me back down.
I took a deep sigh and looked down, to see two adorable faces gleaming up at me, I remembered the bracelets. I took them off the shelf and placed them on the counter ready to pay for them,"That will be £7.50" a deep voice told me from behind the checkout,
"There ya go," I told him joyfully, he handed me the bag with the bracelets in and attached them to the rightful owner. As me and Freddie set off for the stroll back to the cabin I told him what my dad said, and he soothingly told me,"Everything's going to be just fine, as long as we have each other," as he stroked my hair gently and added on,"and the twins!" then smiled as we set off hand in hand for the best adventure of our lives.
