I was searching, everywhere for him. He had to go, from the moment I said, 'I do' I had little niggles in my stomach. Right in the depths of my stomach, so far you think you don't have to pay attention to them, that they aren't important, that they aren't there..but those little niggles are life saving. I couldn't believe my ears when I found out he had children already, and after a five year marriage he'd just go ahead and have kids with his boss. It's always a working women. "ASHER, YOU GET OUT FROM WHEREVER YOU'RE HIDING. NOW. don't make me find you."I yelled from the front door, into our shared apartment, I heard my voice echo from the skyscrapers around us. He heard me and I was sure of it.
It wasn't always like this, we were once happy, once, but 'happy' isn't in our vocabulary anymore.
- year 2000 from 2012- We met in a small, pretty café on one beautiful, summery, joyful day. I was working in Café Roy's for my grandpa, he got unsteady and needed a hand - I needed the money - my boyfriend Jake had had about enough of me and id had enough of the lies. I saw through them all. I don't know why I stayed with him for 2 months if I knew his game - but at the same time we both knew this was a popularity thing. The golden girl dates the golden guy, but the only problem was that I wasn't golden; Jaymi Harper was. Blonde hair, blue eyes, designer everything - everything has to be a make, a certain brand...I don't think she's ever heard of Primark before! I got fed up and went on my break, on my break, I dumped Jake. When I went back into the café again, I met him. His hair, his eyes, his face, divine. I smiled down as I served him, 'hello, sir, what can I get you?' The words buzzed around my head as I was hungover. He really opened up that day, and so did I. If only I could have seen the future, that he had a fiancé and a baby on the way. If only I knew, then I wouldn't be suffering right now......if only……
