It's very hard to dust
Off the old, rank, rust
I almost couldn't see
What it was meant to be
The bike that was old
It's story will unfold
From where it was from
Maybe used by a Pom
It's handlebars look ancient
The seat isn't comfy - just a dent
Maybe I could sell it
To a museum - they'd pay a bit!
A few years later - it was fixed
Rust and new-ness was weirdly mixed
I sold it at a garage sale
The buyer payed the money for a wale
Now I am filthy rich
All because of that rusty glitch!
