Growing up in England I have grown used to a bit of rain now and again, which is the source of many complaints for most people. However I have never known why people hate the rain, I absolutely love it! There's something that's so lovely about the feeling of the small droplets falling down from the sky and onto your skin. Your hair becoming wetter by the minute as you dash around in the heavy rainfall, trying to find shelter. The sound of rain falling on your windows as you sleep. The heavy rain hitting the car windows and windscreen as you drive around. The chuldish giggled that escapes my lips as I wander aimlessly in the rain (something my mum would kill me for doing!) Some of the many things that I love about rain, it's comforting and beautiful and calming and simple. A time to just stop and savour the moment.
