The BBC are for the first time, collaborating with CNN, to let the UK and US know of a new found disease.
It was discovered earlier today that an application for the now discontinued Apple technology; mostly popular around 2012, induced a psychological malfunction to a small dedicated group of its users leaving them in a poor psychological and in some cases physiological state. The illness has been named Opussian's Disease and has no known cure.
A spokesman for SeaMonster Industries has given the following statement: "We have great regrets that our earlier developed application has had such terrible consequences for our once dedicated users and have done everything possible to make them comfortable until more can be discovered about the illness."
SeaMonster have supplied the group, number unknown, with a care facility and staff to care for them.
Opussian's disease is very rare and the only thing in the existing patients history that link them is that they all were very active users of the application to an excessive level.
If you know of someone in this situation and they present symptoms such as rocking, moments of deafness whilst tapping wildly into the air or mumbling about 'Rankings', please do not hesitate to contact the general medical board.
