There's much to say for those abused,
How they make way through life after being used.
The strongest survivors some would say,
I know my life changed that first fateful day.
He took my hair and dragged me through,
I was scared, I was six, he smiled, he knew.
The events went on their eyes were wide,
He laughed she laughed I laid and cried.
"I want my mum" I said while sobbing,
The slaps, the scratches, they went on throbbing.
I drifted off to some place kind,
Where what was happening was far from my mind.
Walking away, blood warm on my thighs,
Tears dried up on my once innocent eyes.
"You will not tell!!" they viciously said,
I kept those words in my little head.
What they did was wrong, I grew to know,
Took twenty years for my mind to grow.
Emotions each day were more of a fight,
I'm happy now iv reached the light.
