Back in August '99 I was talking to someone at work about the solar eclipse that would take place the following day when the boss's son (Paul) decided to join in the conversation...
Paul: You won't see it from here...you need to be in Cornwall. Me: Only if you want to see the full, total eclipse...we'll still be able to see about 98% of it from here. Paul: Really? What time does it happen? Me: About ten past eleven. Paul: What - at night?
The mind boggles.
