I walked a mile, A mile with you, Talking Jesus's and Allahs, With atheism too.
Now I ask you my questions, And I find a few lies, That this world has a god, And that god is mine.
I'm screwed up, Broken, lost and confused, I'm gay, I'm straight, I'm nothing like you, No tie with a suit to make me clean, I'm covered with ink to remind me I bleed.
You don't have to wonder, Why love isn't true, Because they worship an idol that's in a mirror or two, God isn't an offering plate, Or a book written by men, He's what you know to be true, Forgiver And friend, So tell me I'll burn, That my life is a sin, And when I face this worlds final end, I can face any Fire And know I lived free, Because my life's just as yours, Both Our hearts mirror death, But my Love holds no sin, I am cleansed from within.
