Ooo, the tension! As I slip my nail under the cardboard flap, I swipe my finger across the dotted line, And then, the delicate door I unwrap.
A layer of tin foil meets my eyes, I puncture it at the left-hand edge, Slowly, it dissolves in my fingers, Revealing a chocolate sleeping in a plastic nest.
I turn the whole thing over, And firmly tap the base, Then a little chocolate pops out, From it's secret hiding place.
Will it be a Santa? Or maybe even a bell? It's upturned at the moment, So it's really quite hard to tell.
I close my eyes tightly, And run it over in my hand, Open them again, Expecting something grand...
And it's a squirrel.
