I took a step closer. "Are you okay?"
Tom shook his head, but didn't speak. I held my breath and slowly reached out to touch his arm. Suddenly, Tom jerked his head up, and I stepped back in shock. His eyes were red and his teeth were getting longer even as I watched.
"I warned you," Tom growled. "I warned you, but you just didn't listen."
Tearing my eyes away, I looked up. The full moon was beginning to emerge from behind the clouds. Tom smiled, his teeth glinting in the moonlight.
"You'd better start running."
