Poetry, hypnotises and spellbinds us rhyme, metre and image designed to fix the poem in our memory, to
burn it deeper than prose to stay in the memory for a split second longer to use the poem as a tool
to persuade the reader to dip in and find something with a different mood and feel every time.
Each reading of the poem produces new insights. When you read a poem you read more than poetry
you are reading the results of an exploration into the meaning of life itself. Let the words echo
around in your mind, let your subconscious absorb the images and the rhythm.
Let the poem flow free and mesmerising, read very slowly and drink in the words
The poet plays with the boundaries of the poem exploiting an irresistible human instinct, curiosity.
