This boy I liked Went to my school. And I tried my hardest To keep my cool.
But each time he walked past I felt my heart flutter. Each time he caught my eye My heart melted like butter.
He started winking at me Every once in a while. My knees went to jelly And then came the smiles...
His smile was God-given I felt my cheeks flush bright red And I often wondered What was going through his head
He held my hand once. Just grabbed it, out of the blue I felt a foolish grin arise I didn't know what to do.
Then my sister came to me one day What she said it broke my heart. "He asked me out, but I said no... "I didn't want to pull you apart."
I felt sick and stupid But the damage was done. He didn't talk to me again But even that can't spoil my fun.
I've got a new guy, now. He's the nicest guy I've known He's always by my side And I never feel alone.
