'A human? How do you know-'

'Shush.'

(The Doctor walks quickly into the room.)

'Hello! I-'

(He is cut off by a shriek. We see the girl all dressed in black, knelt in front of a big black shadow.)

'Stay back! She's not like the others. She doesn't kill people!'

(Amy and Rory follow in. Rory worms his arm around Amy but she steps forward.)

'It's ok, we're not here to take her away from you. All we want is to see her.'

(The girl turns fully and slowly stands up. She looks at them, scared)

'What are you going to do to her?'

'Nothing,'

(The Doctor reaches a hand out, the girl stares at it. He draws it back through his hair.)

'What is your name?'

'Iris. And you can see Hennebury, as long as you promise not to hurt her.'

'Well Iris, I can promise you that. Can you call her forward?'

(The Doctor smiles questioningly. Iris turns back and reaches out a hand.)

'Hennebury! Henn, it's ok. He won't hurt you. He's not gonna take you away.'

(Iris steps back and we hear another growl and padding feet. Into the light comes a great creature, almost a dog, but the size of a pony. It has a flat face, almost like a pug.)

'Well what do we have here?'

(The Doctor steps out to stroke Hennebury but Iris blocks his way, arms spread out. Hennebury rests her head on Iris' shoulder.)

'No! You won't touch her!'

'We aren't going to hurt her, honey.'

(Amy steps out towards Iris. She stares at Iris admiringly.)

'But we need to see her.'
