Every night, when it was dark, I'd shiver in my bed My closet, a overly spacious thing, Was messing with my head.
Every night, when I was young, I'd fight the urge to shriek, The shadows in the corner They shifted every week.
One night I'd see a beast, With red eyes and feathered tail. I moved the closet into the light, But saw to no avail.
My parents thought me crazy, Took me to see some shrink. Re-painted my whole room, I remember all the pink.
I could still see all the monsters, They haunted me for years. I saw hundreds of qualified people, But still I had my fears.
