I sit on my bed and I weep. From my room I hear passing of feet. No one bothers to come at this hour, So padding paws are my healing power.
My kitten, barely the age of one, Is usually joyful and plenty of fun. But she knows when I cry and she knows when I'm sad She lifts up my chin with that mewing she has.
She sounds more like a mouse than a cat And I love her more just for that. She jumps on my lap and she nudges my chest She knows she loves me and she is the best.
I'd give up my kitten for nothing at all, No puppy, no rabbit, no matter how small She never fails to raise my grin Even when my world is falling in.
To top it all off she has a signature sneeze That is brought on by the slightest warm breeze I didn't know cats could get hay fever But she's adorably cute so I have to believe her.
